Executive Assistant
Dorothy Akongo is the Executive Assistant and Project Coordinator ICLD Uganda- Child Thrive Project. She also supports Fellowship/Internship, Research and Advocacy. She is a Public Health specialist and a social scientist, she also poses certificate in Good Clinical Practice, Monitoring and Evaluation, Evidence Based Policy, Community Policing, and Leadership and Management in Health. She enjoys working within the time line with commitment and positive energy. Humility and integrity are her core values and pays attention to details while working with people from different walks of life. She has strong interpersonal traits with the capability of working alone and within a team with minimal supervision. she possesses strong online and paper qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis skills. Her career objective is to improve health among individuals and communities through community mobilization, sensitization, project planning implementation, and management and active research. Her passion lies in maternal, child and adolescent health with kin interest in early childhood development and redesign for capital development. In her free time, enjoys listening to music, dancing and spending time with family.
MR. Tatumwa D. Benjamin
Communications Assistant
Tatumwa Desmond Benjamin is currently working as the Communications Assistant at Busoga Health Forum. He is the president of +256 youth platform a Community-Based Organization that MOBILIZE, EMPOWER, and ENGAGE youth through its programs: Social Entrepreneurship, Education and Library, Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights, Youth Parliament, Sports, Civic Leadership, Environment and Health. By serving in this position, Benjamin is fulfilling a part in disproving a detrimental saying in his community - “Youth are energetic but don’t want to work.” Benjamin is an enrolled Nurse that he attained at Iganga School of Nursing and Midwifery in 2021, he is an Alumni of the Young African Leaders Initiative under Civic Leadership and has complemented certificates in Leadership, Resource Mobilization, Lobbying and Advocacy, Web development, Graphics and design, skill he does with passion to improve health communications.
